An essential course for electrical contractors to gain an understanding of the fundamentals of electrical estimating and pricing and to get hands on experience in measuring and pricing electrical works.
Duration
2.5 days with a mixture of training and practical hands-on.
Audience
- Particularly for newly established electrical contractors.
- Electrical contractors wishing to enhance or refresh their estimating and pricing skills.
- Electricians transitioning to electrical contractors.
- Electrical estimators or those intending on becoming electrical estimators.
Objectives
On completion of this training course attendees will have the ability to:
- Identify and calculate all of the various costs associated with the service they provide.
- Include for overheads in the calculation of charge out rates for both time and material works and tendered projects.
- Correctly calculate a crew rate.
- Leverage hands on practical training to measure and price electrical works for call out service/maintenance works, small jobs and large projects.
- Understand and price preliminaries in tenders.
- Calculate overhead value for a project proportional to estimate value.
- Identify the need for profit.
